Ganesh Chalisa is a devotional song written by Sundardaas in the praise and devotion of Lord Ganesha. It is a long prayer(hymn) in the Awadhi language and especially it is sung on the starting of something new work or any inaguration. Each of the Verses of the Ganesh Chalisa draws a character sketch of Lord Ganesha as the supreme intelligent and kind god.
