T1DCoach is a Type-1 diabetes educational game. Users are trying to feed Gabi or Miki, a virtual avatar equpped with a Continous Glucose Monitor (CGM) and a insulin pump, and by steering the parameters of the pump, as well as setting the proper boluses, they are trying the avatar to stay in a good shape.
The game is simulating different aspects of the Type-1 diabetes, including physiological changes, which are visible as changing of the avatar's simulated state. Good shape, good procedures and more are giving the players achievements and points, so they can see their progress in the global leaderboard and compete against other players.
This game has been created by the Lublin University of Technology, as a part of a project "Wspomaganie kształcenia w cukrzycy typu I u młodzieży – aplikacja mobilna T1DCoach".
This is not a medical application, the usage is strictly educational.
