New Fortnite Season Treasure Hunters Is Live Now
The new Fortnite season is here. Fortnite Treasure Hunters launched November 1, 2026 with update v43.00, a one-month mini season that swaps the island for a new map with a pirate theme, adds powers from One Piece characters, and puts A$AP Rocky on a battleship as the first boss. It runs into early December and ends with a Fortnite Chapter 7 finale event on December 5. Epic Games calls it a mini-season, though some outlets label it Chapter 7 Season 5, and Wikipedia describes Battle Royale as currently in a Chapter 7 mini-season after 42 continuous seasons.
New Fortnite Season Release Date and Downtime
Treasure Hunters began on Sunday, November 1. Pre-launch estimates varied, with Vice expecting the season around 4 a.m. PT or 7 a.m. ET and The Big Lead listing the downtime at 2 a.m. EDT for about three hours, which overlapped with the clocks going back. Gaming Route reports Epic's status page showed the v43.00 downtime ending at 08:12 UTC, or 3:12 a.m. ET, so servers returned earlier than the pre-launch estimates.
The season runs from November 1 until December 4, and Epic has announced a Chapter 7 end event for Saturday, December 5. Because the new season is a mini-season, content arrives weekly. Epic's weekly Captain's Day drops began with launch, and Gaming Route lists further updates on November 7, 12, 14, and 21, while The Big Lead puts the main updates on November 7, 14, and 21. One outlet said the season ends December 1, but Epic's announced timeline points to December 4 and the December 5 finale.
How Do I Access the New Fortnite Season on Different Platforms?
To access the new Fortnite season, update to version 43.00 on PC through the Epic Games Launcher, on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch through your console store, or on mobile through the App Store, Google Play, or Epic Games Store. Cloud options include Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce NOW.
Crossbones Isle Map and New POIs
The Override map has been replaced by a new map, Crossbones Isle, a skull-and-crossbones-shaped island built for 80 players instead of the usual 100. Eleven launch points of interest include One Piece spots like Arlong Park, Loguetown, Windmill Village, and Baratie Bay, according to Gaming Route and AccountShark. Beebom adds that Baratie is a floating restaurant you should not expect to dine at peacefully.
The crossovers reach the map itself. A battleship POI is based on A$AP Rocky, and rapper Lil Uzi Vert gets his own fort, which matches the color scheme of Kawaii Cuddle Team Leader in the Battle Pass. Recent leaks and early previews for the new Fortnite season suggest these exciting additions will be featured, and fans have already spotted hints of the Crossbones Isle map and new POIs in datamined files and teaser images released ahead of the official season launch.
One Piece Powers and New Weapons
The biggest gameplay addition is a set of abilities from One Piece characters. Inven Global reports players can use Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit and Ace's Flame-Flame Fruit, as well as Zoro's Three Sword Style and Usopp's slingshot. Gaming Route says the Gum-Gum Fruit turns you into Luffy, and AccountShark calls it the mobility pick, with the Flame-Flame Fruit better suited to sustained damage.
Challenging A$AP Rocky aboard his battleship earns the Shock Rocket, which rains rockets from the air, and AccountShark also lists the Bundlebuss Repeater Rifle and Gilded Dragoon Shotgun as new weapons. Treasure hunting works differently too. Gaming Route says tearing down a Wanted Poster gives a Sprite Treasure Map that leads to a buried Sprite Chest, and it lists new Sprites including a treasure-map Sprite, a cat in a chest, and a skeleton-banana Sprite.
What Is Pirate Shop Access?
Vice has a dedicated guide to the Pirate Shop Token, which lets players claim free Item Shop items. AccountShark says you earn Pirate Shop Access by opening chests in Battle Royale, and that it starts a 14-day window to claim eligible V-Bucks Item Shop cosmetic items. Treat the exact rules as provisional until Epic's own documentation confirms them.
New Fortnite Season Battle Pass and Skins
The Treasure Hunters Battle Pass costs 800 V-Bucks, or is included with Fortnite Crew. Gaming Route, citing Epic's overview, lists six outfits including One Piece's Ace and Nico Robin and Captain X, who is unlocked through weekly quests, plus 9 pickaxes, 6 gliders, 7 back blings, and 5 emotes. AccountShark adds new anime looks for Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, and Charlotte. It follows Chapter 7 Season 4, Override, which launched August 20 with a Sonic-headlined pass, and Epic says the Override Battle Pass ended November 1 (Eastern Time), per EndgameTools.
The rest of the One Piece Fortnite skins are in the Item Shop on a staggered schedule, which Epic confirmed on October 30 after first showing the crossover on October 27, per Unplayed.gg. Per Vice, Luffy, Nami, and Usopp arrived November 1, Zoro, Sanji, and a Chopper Sidekick follow November 7, and Buggy arrives November 13, with Lil Uzi Vert on November 12 per Sortiraparis.
Launch-day prices are now confirmed. Unplayed.gg, checking Epic's Item Shop page, lists the One Piece Bundle at 4,000 V-Bucks, with Luffy at 1,800 and Nami and Usopp at 1,600 each, and TechWiser reports the same bundle price. That is below the 4,500 V-Bucks Vice estimated before launch, and Unplayed.gg notes Epic lists the bundle's items separately at 8,200 V-Bucks. Vice's datamine of the bundle found 3 outfits, 4 back blings, 4 pickaxes, an emote, a glider, and a guitar, and TechWiser lists a Going Merry Glider among the extras.
Later bundles are less certain. Vice estimated the Straw Hats bundle at 4,000 V-Bucks and Buggy at 1,600, while TechWiser puts them at roughly 3,000 and 2,500, so check the Item Shop for final prices.
What Happens When the Season Ends
Epic's Chapter 7 end event is set for Saturday, December 5, with the start time not yet announced. The Big Lead suggests the next season could be the start of Chapter 8, but Epic has not confirmed that. For now, the weekly updates, competitive Zoro Cup on November 6 and Buggy Cup on November 13, and the staggered One Piece releases give players plenty to do before the finale.
